The Dairy Reviews

J
Great cottage in a very handy location. Very comfortable and a lovely garden area. Melanie could not be more helpful (whilst maintaining her guests' privacy). We really enjoyed our stay.
P
We were made to feel very welcome by the host. The cottage was warm, clean and comfortable in lovely, peaceful surroundings. It is in a convenient location for visits to Exeter, the Jurassic coastline including Budleigh Salterton, Beer and Sidmouth. We enjoyed the railway journey from Exmouth into Exeter.
Peter
A lovely stay at 'The Dairy' and would book again.
Elizabeth
Lovely, well maintained cottage. Appointed in quiet area close to Exeter. Perfect for our self-catering break. Bed very comfortable. Enjoyed the separate rooms. Host welcoming and friendly.
Emma
Lovely property and owner! I stayed at this property for a month during a university placement and felt immediately at home. The house is very quaint and has gorgeous views from the main bedroom. Wonderful wildlife also surrounds the cottage with deer being spotted regularly. All bedding, towels and kitchen towels were provided and refreshed weekly. The host was always contactable quickly if needed. Would recommend this stay to anyone!
Mary
The Dairyââ?¬ was extremely clean and comfortable so we were well pleased. It made for a quiet break which we wanted and within a short distance plenty of walking I would recommend
Vivienne
We had a lovely holiday staying at The Dairy in late September. Melanie the host is very welcoming and friendly and the cottage itself was warm, cosy and comfortable. We enjoyed some stunning walks along the coastal path and the East Devon Way and there are several other sign posted trails through the countryside. We ate out at The Digger's Rest, and The Kings Arms in Ottery St Mary. The Otterton Mill is very good for a lunchtime meal. The Greendale farmshop and Dart's Farm shop are amazing too.
Robert
We had a lovely stay at the Old Dairy. Everything was very clean and tidy. There's a small garden with an apple tree (full of apples when we visited), furniture and a barbecue in the shed. It's next door to the owner's house and she was very friendly and helpful. It's close to many interesting places to visit and not far from the motorway so very convenient.
Bryony
This is our third year of staying at this property. As always, we had a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Melanie is a welcoming and friendly host, and the cottage is comfortable and homely. It is in a fantastic location for visiting all that the area has to offer. Highly recommended!
Elspeth
We had a wonderful week staying at The Dairy which was a perfect base for visiting and exploring the local area and a lovely quiet place to relax in the evenings.
Mahe
We enjoyed a lovely, relaxing week here. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. Well placed to visit East Devon - Sidmouth, Beer, Branscombe, Exeter, Budleigh are all within 20 minutes drive. Highly recommended.
Susan
Lovely cottage, quiet driveway off country lane. Easy to get to Exmouth, Sidmouth and Honiton. Enjoyed our stay.
Colin
Melanie was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Tracy
We had a lovely few days stay at The Dairy. Melanie was on hand to greet us. She gave as much information as we required both about the cottage and the surrounding area. Having a secluded outside area was great for the lovely weather we had at the time. A quiet and relaxing area. Easy access to neighbouring towns although transport is essential. We would certainly go back.
Reg
Melanie, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and we had a lovely week despite the indifferent weather..
Alan
An extremely well equipped and immaculately clean property. Melanie is a very friendly and helpful host. Stairs in property will be a real challenge if you have mobility issues as the bathroom is downstairs .
