Ash Cottage Reviews

Carole
We enjoyed another stay Ash Cottage, Beer. It is a bonus being able to park at the property. Would definitely return.
Richard
Property generally clean and tidy but starting to look a little tired. A full bag of recycled. Rubbish left outside. Neighbour said been there for over a week. Bag rejected by refuse collector.
N
Ash cottage was fantastic. Great location and ideal place for our holiday.
Donna
The cottage is a great location, easy access to Beer village. However property next door is being renovated so there is noise.
Susan
The cottage is in a convenient location with two parking spaces. The town is within walking distance. The beds are comfortable and the garden is pleasant with a washing line.
Barbara
Overall the cottage was very satisfactory. The two parking spaces were a bonus.Itâ??s situation on the outer edge of Beer gave you a nice walk down to the beach (lovely cafes) and shops etc but you do need to be physically fit.
Jane
We thoroughly enjoyed our one week stay in Ash Cottage. It was in a great location. Just a ten minute walk down to Beer beach, shops and pubs. Comfortable and well equipped. There were so many added touches that the owner had thought of such as the night lights, welcome pack, throws. Plenty of wardrobe space and storage cupboard to put your clothes away plus much more. Parking was a bonus too behind the property. The garden was enclosed and private. Secure for my dogs. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Martin
Lovely spotless cottage, good car parking and nice walk to shops, restaurants and pebble beach. Highly recommended.
Ian
Great location just 5 mins from central Beer and 10 mins from the beach. Property is great for a couple or family with two small children as the 2nd bedroom is compact. Back garden is a sun trap and has a pleasant seating area with a washing line if needed leading to a parking area for two cars.
Glynis
The recycling was very detailed which I approve of, but there should have been a recycling sack which was not supplied. There was also no comments book in the cottage and it is helpful to get previous recommendations for walks, restaurants etc.
Anne
This beautiful cottage had everything we needed for our weekâ??s stay. It was extremely comfortable and clean. 5 minute walk from Beer village which has a range of gift shops, a lovely wine bar and several pubs that serve food.
Jean
This property is in a very good location with easy walking distance to Beer which has good pubs. The property was snug but warm and comfortable with the added bonus of parking and compact secure garden. We had a couple of minor issues which we reported to Original Cottages office in Beer.
Katherine
Excellent location, clean and well equipped. Stayed for a week while working nearby and it was exactly as described and just what we needed. Very good value for money, too.
Jackie
The cottage was lovely, everything you need for a self catering holiday and very comfortable. It was a lovely walk down to Beer beach and back & not too far to drive to other beaches. Great having own parking spaces behind cottage. Beer is very pretty.
Deborah
We had a lovely week in Ash Cottage. Well equipped, warm, very comfortable, secure courtyard garden for our small dog and a parking space just behind. The village of Beer is so friendly and we loved the easy walk to the pebble beach and the variety of shops and places to eat on the way. We particularly enjoyed fresh pies from the Deli! A good base for visiting Lyme Regis and Sidmouth.
Anthony
Very comfortable clean good parking easy to get into the centre of Beer.
Stephen
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ash Cottage, Beer. Very comfortable, had everything we wanted. Short walk to the beach, shops and pub. Would not hesitate to go back to Ash Cottage.
Robert
It's a great location, most suitable for active couples, or for mum dad and two children, it would be a little cramped for four adults. Situated in a most attractive village with a stunningly beautiful bay.
Alan
Cottage ideally situated with off road parking a bonus. Bus to Sidmouth and Seaton as an option, or drive as the roads are ok. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
Susan
The cottage is very conveniently located in Beer and has a parking space which goes someway to justify the cost which increases every year. The kitchen equipment is dated and well used especially frying pan and pots. The beds are comfortable and bedding and towels all white and clean.
Caroline
Property is in a great location with the walk into the centre of Beer and the beach only taking 10 mins. Very quiet and good to have two parking spaces, as parking in the village is very limited. Cottage is well equipped with everything you could need, especially in the kitchen, with good WiFi and TV with lots of channels. Although bed reasonably comfy, the main bedroom would benefit from a king size bed rather than a double.
Stuart
This was a very well positioned cottage in a delightful village, but property needs an independent inspection re cleaning and modernising.
Janet
A lovely little cottage. Clean and in a good position in the village.
Patricia
Property in a lovely location a few minutes walk to beach .It had everything we needed for a family of four and a dog .Property does show some signs of wear especially sofas
Wendy
Ash cottage has very good parking especially as parking space is at a premium in the village. There are several restaurants and pubs in Beer which are walkable from the cottage. The cottage is comfortable and well equipment but could do with smartening up.
Catherine
The cottage is in a very good location, being only ten minutes walk from the beach. The beds were comfortable and clean and the little garden was nice and private. We would come back again.
Nadine
A very comfortable and well equipped cottage, close to the beach and village centre. The beds were very comfortable and thank you for the welcome pack.
Simon
Location excellent, easy to walk to the village.
Jane
Pleasant enough cottage with good parking and a lovely enclosed garden which would be lovely in warmer months. I would recommend this property basically for the location and having good parking and enclosed garden.
