Marina Lodge Reviews

Jill
Our family have stayed at marina lodge in kingswear for many years, we enjoy it every time, itâ??s so nice to be able to bring our dog with us to such a fantastic property. We most certainly recommend a stay :)
Jill
Marina view is a must if staying in the beautiful village of kingswear itâ??s spacious and yet cosy with enough room for 6 adults and our four legged friends the views are simply stunning, we have visited marina lodge many times and enjoy returning with family.one of a few self catering locations in Kingswear without climbing many many steps to get to the property (with that view) we will definitely be booking again soon.
Simon
Fabulous house in a great location, had everything we needed for the trip (2 adults, 3 kids and a dog) so would book again.
Jane
Really lovely place. Great location and well equipped. Had no issues parking on the marina car park. You can book 4 days at a time, 10.00 per day or if you buy by the day it's 11.00. Had a great time watching the ever changing view and close ups of the steam train. Foot ferry to Dartmouth is 2.50 per person each way, you can buy a book of tickets slightly cheaper if you are going over several times. Great fish and chip shop sadly only open on a Friday night. Would love to stay again.
Rachel
A beautiful place to stay, house was very clean, spacious and so well equipped. We had a lovely time and we hope to return in the future
Diana
Great location and amazing views.shame there wasn't free parking.cottage very comfortable and would stay again.
Louise
Marina Lodge has everything you need for a wonderful break away, we have been staying here for over 20 years and this visit didn't disappoint. We loved the refresh the owners have done with everything being recently decorated. The views from both balconies are just brilliant - we were even lucky enough to watch a firework display from the Naval College across the water! The house is well equipped with all you need to self cater. The village itself has 2 pubs, café, post office and shop there are also some great walks. Access across the water is easy with 2 ferry options, we used the lower car ferry where you can purchase a travel card and top up as needed. We had a couple of great meals at The Steam Packet which is just along from the house. Can't wait to return!
Debbie
Marina Lodge had everything we could wish for. The location in the village is great, it was easy to get to the local shops, pubs and ferry. The cottage was better than the photos as it has been recently decorated throughout, beds were big and comfortable and the views were amazing. The only down side was there is no parking so need to use the car park. We would definitely stay again.
Jill
Marina lodge is fantastic, stunning views without hundreds of steps to enter the property, which lots do have in the kingswear area. Itâ??s warm and comfortable and very homely as a pet owner it was a joy our dog enjoyed immensely doing a bit of people (and dog) watching from the balcony. I can 100% recommended marina lodge to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in the simply stunning location by the River Dart my family will return again as we have done many times before.
Jane
Great cottage & great location
Alan
Overall a good place to stay near Dartmouth, ideal for the ferry and links to the wider area. Two great pubs, Marina and steam train nearby. Place was clean, 3 Decent size rooms and well equipped. Letting agents very good. Few negatives: Balconies needed a good varnish, new furniture and balcony glass cleaned, good feature for amazing views but didn't feel i could use it. Shame really. Parking is very limited, but marina car park £10 for 24 hours and a 5 minute walk away. 2 keys would of been useful. Be careful with the lower Balcony, goes onto a flat roof with a 40 foot drop off. There are gaps in the balcony sides and below the glass for a small dog to escape, our chihuahua ended up stuck in the guttering and needed rescuing, just be cautious with small dogs and children. Enjoyed my two weeks here that's the main thing.

Thank you for the wonderful stay at your holiday home. We truly enjoyed our time there. However, we noticed that the heating wasn't as effective as we had hoped. Perhaps it could be looked into for future guests' comfort. Despite the cold weather, we still had a pleasant stay. Overall, it was a lovely experience. Thank you again for hosting us!
Jeffery
we enjoyed our stay and would consider a return visit. Thank you.
