Reef Cottage Reviews

Robert
Lovely holiday again in this beautiful cottage. Looking forward to returning again in March.
Andre
Beautiful location for the cottage. Stunning views and so close to Appledore centre with its good restaurants and pubs. The cottage itself was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. Weââ?¬â?¢ll definitely put it on our short list for future holidays.
Robert
Another lovely week in our favourite cottage. Lots of oystercatchers, egrets, turnstones to watch in the garden and even had a visit from the heron. Lovely Sunday roast at the Beaver again.
Susan
The most beautiful view, always something to watch. The car park nearby was very convenient, only a couple of hundred metres to the door. I thought the downstairs bedroom might suffer from street noise, but no problem at all, it was extremely quiet. I hated leaving -that says it all.
Robert
Another great holiday in this super cottage. Weather was very kind again and managed to sit out and watch the boats and oystercatchers every day.. watched catch up tv on the new smart television. Lovely meals at the Beaver again.
Alison

Robert
Lovely holiday in fantastic cottage with great views. Looking forward to returning in 5 weeks.
Julie
Lovely location and views from the rear of the property. Outside area could be improved with attention as it didn't reflect the photos. Very clean and spacious.
Jane
Cottage very well equipped and comfortable. Bed good and shower really good. Location near the car park very useful. Wished there had been more visible information for visitors. It was there but tucked away in a folder in a cupboard. Only found cushions for outdoor seats quite late on in the week and would have been useful to know how great Instow beach was for the dog before our last day! We need to come back as Appledore is a lovely place and this was our first visit. Estuary view fantastic.
Robert
Lovely week in a lovely cottage. Great views from the lovely garden. Egrets, oystercatchers, Turnstones and shell ducks visited.
Diana

We have been to Reef cottage four or five times over the past few years and absolutely love it. It has everything you need, has stupendous views from the lounge and is really ideally placed for the village pubs, shops waterfront etc. Parking is easy in the smaller car park just down the road. We highly recommend this cottage.

Another lovely week in our favourite cottage. Heron, Oyster Catchers, Turnstones, Shell Ducks, Egrets and cormorants all visited the bottom of the garden. Smashing Sunday Lunch in the Beaver again. Hockings ice cream on the Quay for the last time this year.
Robert
Another fantastic week in this delightful cottage. One off the best views in the country. Great pubs and local shops. Sat in garden with a glass of wine watching the yachtââ?¬â?¢s beats most pub yards. Back two more times this year.

Superb house in a beautiful location
Alan
House is situated on a quiet street close to parking area, the views from the back are outstanding and not to be missed. The kitchen was very well equiped with everything to hand, first time using a gas oven!Bathrooms spotless and the showers were excellent. Parking permit available from Torridge District Council @ 45- for the week well worth having as it is for Bideford area too. Finally great communication from the housekeeper who's doing a fab job.
Bob
Cottage has superb views over estuary and ideally placed for walking into Appledore. Very well equipped. A pleasure to stay.
Stephen
Lovely cottage with spectacular views. Enjoyed watching the gigs battle the tides.
Anthony
Well worth a visit. The cottage is lovely and in a terrific location. It has everything you could possibly want during a holiday. Don't worry if the weather isn't very good, you won't mind staying in.
Robert
Fabulous week in this lovely place. Sunsets to die for. Back in three weeks.
David
Reef Cottage is a well appointed with a stunning view. The outside patio was a splendid bonus -as was the weather. The beds were reallly comfortable, with good bedding and towel provision. The kitchen was comprehensively equipped - with a gas stove and oven and well provided with glassware and cutlery. Parking is available about 60m away, but buy a weekly ticket from Torridge District Council in advance. Two good eating places within 100m. A thoroughly good experience.
Barry
Couldn't better the view. Worth the money for that alone. Fixtures and fittings very good. Appledore very lovely.
Mary
Very well equipped cottage.Importantly it felt really clean and still homely. Comfortable, and the views ! From the garden and the sitting room, stunning! Will only stay on this side of Irsha Street for evermore. Cannot recommend enough .

Robert
Fabulous week in this quaint cottage which suits us down to the grounds. Lovely meals at the Beaver again but disappointed that drinks at Seagate were over Ã?£6 a pint. (Pint of lager and half of cider Ã?£9:50.) Wow. View from garden just as good and enjoyed watching dredger working every day
Derek
Well located,well appointed.
Barbara
Excellent location. Characterful cottage. Enjoyable week, albeit a little soggy.
Caroline
Great cottage, very spacious, well equpped kitchen. Location was perfect, we have stayed in Appledore several times but never on Irsha Street if you can get a space in the car park near the cottage (West Appledore) it makes it easier to unpack the car.
Robert
Lovely comfortable cottage that is ideal for a couple. Views are still as magnificent as always. Visited by Oyster Catchers, Egrets, Turnstones, Shell ducks and others this week at bottom of garden. Lovely meals at Beaver again. Great.
