Reef Cottage is a waterfront period property in Appledore, Devon, sitting right on the estuary edge where the rivers Torridge and Taw meet the Atlantic Ocean. This terraced cottage sleeps 4 guests and offers direct views across to Crow Point from its elevated lounge.

The traditional fishing village of Appledore sits within walking distance of shops and eateries. The village quay runs boat trips and a ferry service to Instow beach and yacht club. Westward Ho lies two miles away with its sandy beach and surf academy. Bideford harbour town sits a few miles down-river.

Accommodation includes a ground floor super-king-size zip and link bedroom (convertible to twin) and a first floor king-size bedroom with en-suite shower. The ground floor bathroom has a shower-over-bath. The spacious kitchen-diner seats six and includes oven, hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The first floor lounge maximises estuary views and features a coal-effect gas fire, TV and Bluetooth. An enclosed waterfront patio provides garden furniture, BBQ and a small stone storage hut for outdoor equipment.

We have been to Reef cottage four or five times over the past few years and absolutely love it. It has everything you need, has stupendous views from the lounge and is really ideally placed for the village pubs, shops waterfront etc. Parking is easy in the smaller car park just down the road. We highly recommend this cottage.

Reef Cottage is a well appointed with a stunning view. The outside patio was a splendid bonus -as was the weather. The beds were reallly comfortable, with good bedding and towel provision. The kitchen was comprehensively equipped - with a gas stove and oven and well provided with glassware and cutlery. Parking is available about 60m away, but buy a weekly ticket from Torridge District Council in advance.Two good eating places within 100m. A thoroughly good experience.

Great cottage, very spacious, well equpped kitchen. Location was perfect, we have stayed in Appledore several times but never on Irsha Street if you can get a space in the car park near the cottage (West Appledore) it makes it easier to unpack the car.
