Lower Cobbaton The Barn is a thatched cottage conversion set in the rolling countryside of North Devon. Located two miles from Chittlehampton village and five miles from Barnstaple, this property offers stunning panoramic country views from its first-floor balcony. The beamed ceilings and traditional character make this a proper Devon retreat.

The area sits within easy reach of Exmoor National Park and the north Devon coast. Beaches at Westward Ho!, Saunton Sands, Croyde and Woolacombe are all within driving distance. The surrounding countryside provides excellent walking routes and outdoor activities.

This cottage sleeps four guests across two bedrooms. The ground floor has a cosy twin room with Smart TV and shower room. Upstairs you'll find a double bedroom with TV and a bathroom with bath. Mrs Pert (Karen), who looks after the property for the owner made us feel very welcome, and was really helpful, and full of useful information. We loved the cottage, and its remoteness, and the dogs had an absolute ball in the field that the owner kindly let us use - that was such a bonus, and one of the reasons why we chose the cottage in the first place. Be prepared for lots of narrow lane driving, and lots of reversing, you'll get plenty of practice! Have already booked for next year!!

The sining is not that Clare, but if put in the tank museum in your phone it's easy, just a stone throw away. The garden is very secure for your dogs, and the dog field is quite big just round the corner. Just what we needed. Very peaceful, the village shop has what you need the nearest supermarket is tesco about 6.5 miles away. The cottage itself is lovely the only downside is the twin room smelt fustey. We will be booking again.

We had a wonderful week in this delightful cottage which is situated in a beautiful quiet location. There are numerous beaches and towns, withon a relatively short driving distance. The field for the dog was an added bonus as the garden area isnÃ¢â?¬â?¢t as big as our dog is used to and was ideal for giving him a run about before we set out for our days adventures. We certainly left a lot less stressed than we had arrived!

Absolutely wonderful cottage , clean with all you need for your holiday. Mainly carpet in the property which was much appreciated as we had a disabled dog and another who has had knee problems, no slipping!. Very grateful for that, thank you.. The added bonus of the use of the owners pretty paddock was much appreciated by our 4 dogs. You need to drive to get to shops etc and through lanes but that was the beauty of having quiet surroundings. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Lovely little barn, little extra bits included such as washing up liquid dishwasher tablets and hand soap. Very well equipped and having the washing machine made having wet dog towels easy to get clean. The cottage is in a lovely location and very quiet. The garden was safe for the dogs and would have been lovely if we could of sat outside but the weather was a little cold. The price was very reasonable and would definitely recommend to people wanting to escape the busy city.

We enjoyed a glass of wine on the balcony when the weather permitted. The dogs enjoyed their walk in the paddock which had been mown especially for our stag. We would definitely recommend Cobbaton Barn for a comfortable holiday for all the family especially the four legged family members who had a fabulous time.
