Lovely stay in this delightful cottage. Extremely clean, especially the bedding on a very comfortable bed. Very well equipped kitchen with higher end appliances, only missing the cooking extractor which is being replaced due to an accident the previous week so couldn't be helped. Everything you could need really except clothes drying facilities, although you are able to use the owners. Location and fishing good, a comfortable and restful break. Owners lovely, as were the scones (special jam!)

Just had a fantastic week stay at the Shepherds Rest with our family and 2 dogs. The first thing that grabs your attention is itââ?¬â?¢s an upside down property with all 3 bedrooms and toilet downstairs and the kitchen and sitting room upstairs. Beautifully decorated and clean with everything you could need. Great enclosed garden for the dogs. Owners are fantastic and helpful but not intrusive. The only negative is its not wheelchair friendly due to the steps, but overall I canââ?¬â?¢t recommend it enough.

This was probably one of the best holiday cottages we have booked to date. Spacious and well-equipped, it was very clean and, we thought, probably newly decorated. It provided ample space for four adults. The owners were very pleasant and yes, we were given some just baked scones with jam and cream, which were delicious and very welcome! The location was great for exploring Bude and the nearby beaches. The games room with pool table and table tennis table was a great added bonus.

We had a lovely stay in this very clean, spacious, and well-equipped home in a tranquil, rural location. The owners were so kind, friendly and helpful, and made us feel very welcome. Secure garden, scenic views. The games room was a real bonus for the children! Just a short (20 minute) walk on a quiet country lane to Holsworthy, which has a good range of small supermarkets, shops, pubs, etc. and weekly market. Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Everything was very clean and the cottage was well equipped. 20 minutes walk into Holsworthy for shopping, pubs and takeaways. Bude is a short drive and is a lovely day out with walks on the beach and along the canal.

Clean and spacious with high quality furnishings and decor. The reversed layout with steps up to the 1st floor and stairs down to the bedrooms and bathroom works fine. Garden is secure for dogs. Owners live next door and are friendly and helpful. Surprise scones with jam and cream day before leaving was a nice touch!

We had a lovely stay at Shepherd's Rest. It's spacious but also cosy, good size for a family of 5. The kitchen is big and well stocked. It's in an easy location to get to Bude and is quiet. The garden and lake is lovely - although shared by the two other houses along with the games room. Also Jenny was very accommodating and hospitable, happy to provide little things we needed. She even brought round some lovely homemade scones! Would definitely recommend this for a relaxing family break.

Lovely location. The farm is very rural with Holsworthy (and Waitrose) a 5 min car ride away. We loved Bude and the spectacular coastline. Really good places to eat as well. Our hosts were so helpful and the boys enjoyed the games room immensely.
