Keepers Cottage Lynton Reviews

Mary
The house is comfortable and well equipped but it is up a very narrow steep lane with very few stopping places. It is also quite a distance to Lynton and Lynmouth - it is nearer to Barbrook. Anyone thinking of renting should be aware of this. We don't have a SUV and so driving up and down that lane was not that pleasant. We live and holiday in Wales so we know about narrow lanes - but this one was a challenge.
Elaine
Absolutely loved this cottage. Beautifully presented, with everything needed for a comfortable, home from home holiday. If youâ??re looking for peace, quiet and tranquility, with fabulous walking straight from the door, then look no further. You wonâ??t be disappointed.
Alan
A lovely cottage with beautiful gardens, itâ??s impossible to imagine a more peaceful location virtually on the moor and with very special nighttime views of the Milky Way. Comfortable with a very helpful owner.
Michael
Nice house and gardens, we saw a hedgehog in the garden. Great location to explore Exmoor.
Phillippa
Location is great and the cottage roomy
David
The cottage was well equipped, spacious. No obvious shortcomings. Otherwise a good experie.nce
Damian
Really excellent place just 100m from Exmoor and the dark sky reserve. We did have one really amazing dark sky. House is very spacious and cosy at the same time. Really well stocked with everything and close to lynmouth and Lynton which are really beautiful. Heartily recommend
Jane
This is a beautifully laid out cottage, with generous rooms and well furnished. Well equipped, comfy beds, rural setting with sheep and birds for neighbours. Idyllic setting we would certainly recommend.
Kelvin
A comfortable cosy cottage, the kitchen was well equipped and all beds were comfortable. However, be aware it is a steep single track lane with limited pull in places to the cottage.
Sally
This really is a lovely cosy cottage which is really well equiped. 6 (adults) stayed to walk the first 5 days of the south west coastal walk from Minehead down to Saunton. It was a perfect base with good taxi service from Lynmouth to Combe Martin. the No 10 bus which linked Porlock Weir to Minehead and easy access to get food shopping in Lynton and some really good eating pubs. We had 3 big cars so the parking was a bit tight but manageable! We didn't bring dogs because of the walking conditions, but it would have been really good with a wonderful large utility room for muddy feet/boots. If we came back to the area, we would definitely book again.
Elizabeth
A beautiful courage and a stunning location. We had a much needed relaxing break here.
Roger
If you want a cottage in a quiet, scenic, rural location yet within easy reach of the sea and other attractions, then Keepers Cottage could be the place for you. Set at the top of a narrow lane the property has a beautiful view to the front and the start of Exmoor a 200m walk from the rear of the property. The pictures on the website really do it justice. It is a large, comfortable property which is extremely well equipped. We had a fabulous week there and wouldn't hesitate to book it again should we re visit the area in the future. There are lots of things to do including beautiful walks such as the Heddon Valley and the Valley of the Rocks, lovely beaches such as Ilfracombe, Woolacombe and Coombe Martin, and great attractions for all the family such as Watermouth Castle, the cliff railway at Lynton and the Quince Honey Farm at South Molten.
Gwen
We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the yearsâ?¦â?¦.this one is by far the best Iâ??ve ever stayed in. Kitchen brilliant for self catering, 3 bathrooms, big living and dining space, beautiful garden with spectacular sea and countryside views
Margaret
Enjoyed our stay, great location for walking on Exmoor with dogs. Lovely and quiet with all we needed for a relaxing stay.
Rachel
This cottage is in a fabulous location if you are looking for peace and quiet. There are views of the sea between the hills from the front and walks on the moor just a few hundred yards behind. It is very comfortable, roomy and nicely furnished and has a pretty garden. We had a job to fault it, highly recommend it and hope to return.
Nigel
A comfortable and well equipped cottage in an excellent location.
