Water Lane Reviews

Jessica
Water Lane cottage was everything we hoped for. The perfect location, comfortable, cosy and very dog friendly. We lucked out with this one! Thanks so much for an incredible holiday!
Karyn
The cottage is in an ideal area. People who can walk, can walk to the beach, go to the shops, there's food areas that take dogs, pet shop up the road and it's close to other towns. If you are less mobile like myself you can hire scooters from near by towns. The local people were all very nice. The neighbours were very friendly. The cottage has plenty of room, facilities were all good, appliances were very good. This was our second visit, it won't be our last.
Joanna
A beautiful cottage in a lovely town which allowed us to easily travel across the region. Fantastic as a dog friendly retreat with a lovely enclosed garden. Bedding and pillows were of a really high quality! We would book again
Julia
Very comfortable and clean with wonderful soft towels too. Well equipped with everything you need. Due to location was cool in heat so great for sleeping and sunny garden to sit in.
Julia
Excellent cottage, we felt very at home there. The location is fab for walking to the beach and pubs.
Robert
Wehad a lovely stay in a lovely place, good parking, quite with nice garden and a good base to explore the coast and Exmoor. Would definitely recommend to anyone
Victoria
Lovely cottage in a perfect area for local walks and strolls into town. We conquered little hangman and loved clambering over the rocks in the bay. Had a good meal in the foscle pub and the boys loved the ice creams. The dinosaur and wildlife park just 5 minutes away was a good day out. All amenities in the cottage were just right. All in all a lovely place to stay in.
Caroline
A lovely long weekend in Water Cottage which had everything (and more) that we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the cottage was warm and cozy. Nice to have the scones and cream on arrival, plus some doggy treats. The lane was very muddy but there had been a lot of rain!
Colin
Very comfortable warm cottage. Drive is very narrow in parts but very welcome parking space. The welcome pack was a nice thought
Bryan
The cottage was excellent, very clean and comfortable and a great location in the town. Lovely touch to leave scones, cream and jam, that was very much enjoyed. Unfortunately there isn't much to do in the town in the evening. There are no restaurants and only one pub serving meals unless you want to drive somewhere. Would highly recommend the cottage though as that was lovely, cosy, clean and very well equipped.
Karyn
we had a great holiday. the cottage was clean and comfortable, and would come back. some of the beeches that state are dog friendly may not be suitable for people with disabilities. Also trying to visit the beech at Lee was like a white knuckle ride, as the road was just suitable for 1 car and that was tight. My husband says if you have a very large car/motor home etc you may struggle to access the property at the back where the garages are to park up. Otherwise great cottage and holiday.
Gemma
Amazing holiday and stay at this cottage, beds so comfy, kitchen and lounge area are perfect, lots of equipment. Close to beach and shops. Would book again for sure.
Andrew
Beautifully located cottage with attractive dog secure garden. Access road is mentioned in some other reviews but it really didn't give us any issues.
Neil
Very clean and very comfy bed and sofas and a nice touch with the welcome hamper
Margaret
Our third stay here, always very clean and comfortable with everything that you could possibly need and our two little dogs love the garden, so safe. Sadly this will be our last stay as we have decided that we are now too old for the stairs (80 & 82) so have to look for on one level next time. Enjoyed our stays so much, lovely and quiet and so many places to see nearby. We were so pleased to see that the lane down has been much improved. Thank you for the lovely scones, jam, butter and milk.
Jackie
This cottage was lovely with plenty of room and great enclosed garden for our dogs. It was very clean and lovely welcome pack for us. The kitchen was very well equipped. Would definitely recommend this cottage to others.
Hannah
Really comfortable, clean & cosy cottage in perfectly convenient location to local amenities, beach & surrounding costal villages. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & didn't want to leave. My only negative is the lane leading to the cottage is pretty bumpy.
Vikki
Lovely welcome pack, thank you. Garden was secure for our dog. Modern, well equipped cottage and great location. Had a lovely break
Natalie
Once again we had a lovely stay at Water Terrace. Weââ?¬â?¢ve stayed in both properties and they are both equally as lovely. Clair is always on hand should you have any issues (we did not) but the property was clean and had everything you needed. Such a perfect cottage in an excellent location, just a short walk from the beach with plenty of shops, pubs and food options. Weââ?¬â?¢ll definitely be back again. These cottages are such a gem. Thank you Clair and the team!
Clair
This cottage gave us we needed for the week and was ideal for the dogs with the garden enclosed. We did chose the week when the lane was being re-surfaced and this did make things difficult for us getting in and out with dogs and bags for the day. The cottage feels a little dated and the garden needed a good tidy, lots more could be made of this accommodation, it's great for dog lovers.
Linda
Beds comfortable, garden ideal being very secure for the dogs. Shame itââ?¬â?¢s so dark downstairs due to trees by stream. Glad to hear the lane will be sorted - itââ?¬â?¢s awful. Luckily, I have a small SUV which coped with it.
Louise
Cottage was lovely. Loved the stream out side the front, this was very relaxing. The double bed we had was very comfortable and slept well. Our pups loved their stay they were happy and relaxed and slept by the log burner most of the time. Beautiful Beach near by with the best icecream shop! Lovely local walks.
Rachel
Lovely cottage, very clean, comfortable, secure garden, quiet and great location. The complementary scones, clotted cream & Jam were very much appreciated, lovely touch Highly recommend the property and hope to return in the near future.
Amy
Everything good, comfortable chairs and beds, the kitchen is very well equipped The garden is safe plus the grass is short so was perfect for our dogs. . The lane was no problem for our Mercedes Estate if you take your time. Water Lane is a lovely cottage very peaceful but near a shop and pub we will definitely book again
Nicola
Beautifully clean and well equipped cottage. Within walking distance of the beach. Very dog friendly, a perfect stay for us.
