Valleys End Reviews

Kerri
Beautiful cosy cottage which is the perfect place to switch off from the world. Everything you need is provided for you and the hosts are on hand if needed. Log burner made the nights lovely and snug. Already looking forward to a return visit.
John
A lovely thatched cottage situated up a quiet lane. Very clean and comfortable with just about everything you'll need for your stay. The cottage is attached to another property, so you just may hear your neighbour on occasion. Everything feels homely and cosy and not pared back like some other cottages we've stayed at. Property is convenient with pub a short walk away, and shops in Torrington only a 10 minute drive away. Would stay here again.
Sara
A lovely comfortable property in a quiet village location. Really well appointed, traditional cottage with modern touches. Lovely friendly hosts, a perfect garden to sit and enjoy the evenings and lots of beaches in driving distance.
Sarah
The cottage was spotlessly clean on our arrival and well equipped. It is in a great location to access walks and nearby attractions. Cath is very friendly and helpful, providing useful suggestions about parking and places to eat. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the surrounding views; a lovely part of the world to visit.
Isabel
Valley's End is an idyllic little thatched cottage, in the peaceful small village of Weare Giffard. The cottage is so thoughtfully equipped and spotlessly clean. It had everything we needed. We loved the pretty little garden, decking area and barbecue. The cottage was great for the summer as it stayed cool despite the scorching weather. I can imagine it would be lovely and cosy in the autumn and winter too. If you are looking for a tranquil rural retreat in North Devon, Valley's End is perfect.
Christine
The beautiful, thatched cottage has been sensitively furnished and decorated keeping the character, but also providing up-to-date amenities. The garden is private and catches the sun all day. We found it very peaceful. It is not too far away from local attractions. Certainly the perfect location to recharge your batteries. Thank you Rob and Cath for the welcome gift.
Thomas
Had a lovely week at this cottage perfect position to explore Devon. log burner was great. The welcome pack was much appreciated. would recommend
Susan
We had a lovely time at Valleys End. The cottage was very cosy, comfortable and wonderfully peaceful. It made such a difference hearing only birdsong and not traffic noise. The Tarka Trail is a short cycle away and we really enjoyed the beautiful views when cycling to the Puffing Billy cafe one way and Fremington Quay cafe the other. The village is friendly and pretty with the river running through it and a family run pub which was very welcoming and good value.
Thomas
A fantastic property, clean and superbly equipped. We stayed as a family with a young child, it is close to the Tarka Trail for cycling and walking as well as the wonderful beaches. Lots of thoughtful touches, the welcome Prosecco and snacks as well as the lovely warmth from the Rayburn. The owners were very helpful in allowing us use of the garage to store our bikes and as the property was free the following week, we extended our stay. We would stay here again without hesitation.
Jane
The perfect cottage to stay at Christmas with beautifully decorated Christmas tree, twinkly lights, log burner, chocolates and Prosecco!
Bojan
Really nice house in a nice little place just of Bideford in Devon. This is a second year we spend our Halloween holidays here and we really love this place. From here we can easily reach some nice kids attractions, drive down to Watermouth castle or The Big Sheep or Clovelly. House is really comfortable for 4 people, with nice kitchen and living room with great fire place to warm any cold(ish) nights. Definitely recommend
Malcolm
All great - many thanks - great hosts.
Susan
We had a wonderful stay at Valleys End. It was immaculately clean and thoughtfully furnished and presented. Kind and helpful owners had thoughtfully left a lovely welcome gift. We felt very comfortable and content and hope to return.
David
Valleys end cottage is beautiful, we thought it was special from the website photos but it's even better in the flesh. Cath was amazing, she was really helpful when we asked for local information, she had left us a lovely welcome gift and she has thought of everything you may possibly need when setting up the cottage. The cottage was spotlessly clean, the decor is lovely and very fitting to the style of building with a lovely private garden at the front. We will definitely be returning.
Neil
This is a fabulous cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location. The owners are extremely hospitable and helpful and we really wouldn't hesitate in going back. The local pub (The Cyder Presse) serves great food at incredible value for money. You won't go far wrong if you book here
Estelle
Just fell in love with both the cottage and the village itself as soon as I walked through the front gate. Felt immediately at home - the Prosecco in the fridge was a lovely touch, along with tea and milk for my AM cuppa. So cosy and the perfect recuperative retreat. Fabulous owners - so much love has gone into making Valleyââ?¬â?¢s End the beautiful home from home that it is. A great location being minutes from the Tarka Trail, shops, woodland, village pub, etc Canââ?¬â?¢t wait to return xxx
