Bloomsbury Barn Reviews

Philip
Loved the cottage cosy warm everything we needed for a lovely short break
Susan
Excellent barn with everything we needed for our weekend away. We have stayed before in the next door barn quite a while ago and everything has been maintained. It was wet when we arrived so weââ?¬â?¢re pleased to have a warm and cosy welcome as the heating was on. Would recommend and would not hesitate to book again.
Raymond
A good place to stay to visit the local coast Townes and beaches Quiet location

Perfect location - the barn had everything you could need and more. The hosts were responsive to messages and pleasant to deal with. Lovely stay - would stay again and would thoroughly recommend!
Caroline
Excellent, clean simple accommodation. Wonderful rural setting and an excellent location from which to explore the surrounding area and Jurassic coast. The owner lives on location and was both engaging and helpful. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Julie
We spent a lovely cosy quiet weekend here. Within walking distance to Axminster. Very comfortable accommodation with everything you need for self catering. Beautiful spot perfect for exploring this area of Devon. Great communication with the owners too Thank you very much
Julia

Gill
Beautiful cottage , well equipped , well organised , professionally run , photos and description completely accurate, we were very pleased and had a lovely time, would definitely stay there again - thank you
Bernie
Warm, comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay despite the less than sunny weather.
Gavin
Lovely position, well laid out & not lacking in space. It was blissfully quiet, just what we needed for a short break. Easy access to plenty of places to eat out - can heartily recommend Cinnamon in Axminster. Although we didn't use tea, coffee and sugar which were provided (only the milk) it was all much appreciated.
Ian
We had a very pleasant quiet stay at Bloomsbury Barn. It is well equipped especially with kitchen equipment. It is well placed for touring the far end of the JurassicCoast which we found spectacular. Parking is tight. Three people carriers would struggle. It is not so good for walking with only one route out next to the car track and the a walking along a busy road after that. Overall it is good value for a weeks stay being reasonably close to Axminster that offers a range of shops.
Sophie
Lovely compact cottage thatââ?¬â?¢s perfectly placed for exploring the Jurassic coast. Easy to drive around. Lovely to have proper crockery in a holiday cottage. The owners were friendly and helpful. Great cupboard full of board games. Our children loved the play garden. Walking distance to the wildlife park which was great; fun to hear the animals in the evening.
Tom
A quiet cottage where our young children could safely play outdoors. Although now due some refurbishment the cottage was very clean and excellent value. Less than 30 minutes drive to Lyme Regis, Bridport West Bay, Pecorama and Escot Park woodland activities. Axminster Tesco is a mile away along with a couple of restaurants which were OK. Recommended for a family stay.
Laurens
We really enjoyed our stay at Bloomsbury Barn!! Lovely and spacious cottage with all supplies offered. Located very beautiful within a 15 minute drive to the beach. A beautiful garden (to be inspired) and a lovely play garden for children. We can highly recommend this cottage.
Emily
Great property, with excellent amenities and very comfy beds. Lovely addition of access to playarea with climbing frame and trampoline - a hit with the children.
Sarah
Lovely cosy cottage, we loved getting the log fire going of an evening (it had central heating too, but we just liked watching the flames). Nice and easy to find and close to Axminster for food shopping, but still in a rural setting. Lots of equipment in the kitchen and impressed by the powerful shower!
Sophie
Wonderful holiday for our little family! It was perfect for what we needed and the barn was cosy and comfy. We would definitely love to come and stay again.
Jeanna
We had a peaceful and relaxing stay at Bloomsbury Barn, which is exactly what we hoped for after a difficult few months with work and ill health. The space is so well designed, with every home comfort one could need. We particularly appreciated the logs, kindling and firelighter for our first night, and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely and welcoming touch. Handy for Charmouth, Lyme Regis, and further afield, but also so very quiet and peaceful. We hope to return. Thank you.
