Primrose Cottage At Greatrock Farm Reviews

Joe
Stunning place to stay quiet enough even to hear owls hooting games room was great for us too with 2 children under 10. Log burners in the cottage and games room just cracking for the December dark cold evenings/nights . The owners were lovely on arrival greeting us and showing us to the cottage with a cream tea set out for our arrival beautiful.
Glennis
Amazing game room. Beautiful location. Remote and very narrow road access
Emily
We were very pleased with our stay at Primrose cottage. A great location for visiting East Dartmoor. A peaceful spot. We felt very comfortable especially with the log burner (we stayed in October). The games room provided hours of entertainment for our children. Everything we needed.
Dorothy
Guests with mobility problems might find access a struggle but generally all help possible has been provided.
Helen
Lovely little cottage ,ideal for the two of us plus the dog and had everything we needed . We loved the games barn and enjoyed a game of ping pong when we had an hour of rain . Although remote ,we could easily access the moor and places like Chagford ,Widecombe in the moor and Haytor .We also went across the moor to Tavistock We loved the walks from the cottage around the area and enjoyed listening to the bird song .We were lucky with the weather overall so went out and about every day
Lee
Fabulous secluded getaway, plenty of walks around the local area & beyond. Very dog friendly in all places, including the games room which is something to behold! Really enjoyed our stay here & exploring the coastal region aswell as dartmoor a little too.
Joanne
Perfect cosy little cottage for two people, in a lovely rural setting. Arriving to a cream tea was a lovely touch, especially the vegan one! We loved the games/movie room as did our grandchildren when they visited, great to have the log burner in there which was needed as it was really chilly.
Kristine
We loved our stay. Primrose cottage is absolutely fab and very comfortable. Well equipped with all you need. And special little touches like fresh flowers and cream tea on arrival was lovely. The game barn was favourite with our 5 year old. Very lovely and friendly owners Sarah and Kenneth.
Neil
No issues for us. Great venue and wonderful hosts. Nothing more exciting than driving down a narrow Devon country land and encounter a tractor with trailer.
Andrea
While the outdoor facilities, including the play barn were amazing, the property itself was smaller and the courtyard dark and a little overgrown compared with the website photographs.
Sean
Lovely quiet location with some great areas to walk, fantastic games room. Nice welcome package provided.
Bruce
Excellent recreational facilities. Another plus was the wood burners and garden kitchen which included a BBQ and a pizza cooker
Paul
Beautiful cottage in an stunning setting.
Jane
We had a great holiday. Cottage is cosy & well equipped, ideal for two people. Lovely cream tea on arrival & milk in the fridge. The owners are friendly & helpful. Fab shower/bathroom. Beautiful grounds & birdsong was amazing. Good paddock for my dog to exercise. Loved the alpacas, such characters. A good centre for the moors, and lots of good walks from the cottage. Village pub in Hennock is very welcoming, and food is good. We hope to come back.
Carolyn
What a delightful place to stay, the friendly owners Kenneth & Sarah have thought of everything. Our cottage was cosy & comfortable set in beautiful acres of grounds & woodland with great walks from the doorstep for us & our dog & also a lovely enclosed dog field. Plenty of different areas to sit & relax in the garden & we enjoyed the BBQ . The games barn is amazing & home cinema & we had a great evening watching movies & with log burner on. We loved visiting the Alpacas too. Will def return
Pauline
The owners were friendly and responsive when we had a problem. The games barn was brilliant, especially in a very wet week, and we spent lots of time there. Our teenage boys loved it. The gardens were lovely with walks from the door. The cottage was clean and well cared for, although the lounge, kitchen, dining area was a bit smaller than anticipated with our adult-sized children.
Jannette
My husband granddaughter and great grand son loved our stay at the cottage the alpacas was a big favourite for great grand son as well as the games room was a big hit with us all as well as the the cream tea when we arrived
Paul
Primrose Cottage was an absolute delight. Beautifully remote and yet plenty to do on and around the farm. Peaceful which was just what we needed. Incredibly dog-friendly, not just dog-tolerant like some places we have taken our dog. Looking forward to a repeat visit.
Samantha
Lovely cottage, warm welcome and had everything we could possibly need.
Maria
We absolutely loved our weekend break, the hosts were really accommodating, the woodland walk was beautiful, the games room was such a nice little getaway and the ââ?¬Ë?ladiesââ?¬â?¢ (alpacas) were so nice to see each day! The cottage was well equipped and cosy and the location was a real treat! A little escape nestled away from everyday life, sat by a brook surrounded by trees, wildlife and beautiful walks.
Nigel
On arrival at the cottage I received a warm welcome fron Ken and a guided tour of the facilties. The location is perfect for a relaxing stay and the cottage is lovely and cosy. The welcome pack of scones, jam and milk was a nice surprise and very much appreciated. The information pack was also appreciated as it gave some very useful local information. The cottage was clean, well equipped and had everything I needed. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend to others.
