Cedars Lodge Reviews

Brian
We had a great time in this well-equipped and cosy property. The location is excellent being near the beach but also within easy reach of Bideford town centre. The owners were friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Overall, we had a very good experience and would highly recommend.
Rod
Lovely property - everything we could wish for.
Kevin
The property is spotlessly clean with everything you could possibly need for your time away. The owners are very friendly but not intrusive. The location is very quiet. Westward ho is a 35minute walk away with plenty to do and see. Would recommend and would definitely return
Janet
The bungalow was lovely, we had everything we needed in the kitchen and the bathroom was great too. There was plenty of room for wheelchair or walker use to. My only bugbear was the height of the bed, this might be good for some disabled people for me at just over 5foot it was a challenge.
Susan
A Perfect Dog Friendly Coastal Getaway! We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful property . The location is unbeatableâ??just a short distance to Westward Ho & Instow beaches, with stunning views from the sun room that made every morning feel special. The cottage itself was spotless, spacious with everything we needed for a relaxing break. The hosts were welcoming and thoughtful with a welcome pack on arrival. We especially loved the private enclosed peaceful garden and hearing the sound of the birds in the backgroundâ??so relaxing! It was the perfect place to unwind, explore the coastline, and enjoy the fresh sea air with our two golden retrievers . We didnâ??t want to leave and canâ??t wait to come back!
Gill

We had a really lovely week at Cedars Lodge. The accommodation was clean, cosy and very well equipped. Would recommend trips to Clovelly, Northam Burrows, Baggy Point, Watersmeet and Lynmouth - all excellent dog walking places. Of all the pubs/restaurants we found the Quay at Instow to be the best (â??dryâ? dogs only allowed in the restaurant). Thanks so much to Steve and Gale for their excellent communication and their presentation of the cottage.
Jan
Cedars Lodge is very comfortable, spacious, warm and beautifully equipped. There was not a thing we needed that couldn't be found, and the comprehensive property information folder answered any queries. Our greyhound was pleased to have a secure garden, which meant that his routines could carry on as normal, and he settled in very well. When we want to return to this area of Devon again, we would definitely try to book another stay at Cedars Lodge.
Gillian

The cottage stay was really lovely. Very well equipped, as others have said no need to take the kitchen sink. Owners really friendly. Lovely secure place for a dog and we would definitely look to return again.
Marilyn
Excellent property well equipped only washing machine not working but did not spoil our week. Could not sit out in the in the afternoon as trees from next door shaded the garden but again this did not spoil our week.
Desna

Cedarâ??s Lodge is a lovely place to stay because, not only has it got everything you would need for a lovely holiday, but it is also close to Westward Ho! and Bideford to enable visitors to walk there. But the owners who live on the site, are the most pleasant and helpful couple.
Martin
Superb accommodation, great location, friendly and helpful owners. We will be back in the future.
Gina
Bungalow is clean, cosy, warm and well equipped. Had a goods night sleep in comfy bed. Lots of products on offer , toilet roll, kitchen towel etc so no need to bring too much. The views are amazing and we had great weather for April. We did find lounge furniture a bit low and soft for us due to mobility issues but may be fine for others.
Tina
Comfortable, well-equipped, sparkling clean lodge, with very helpful owners. Thank you for such a wonderful week!
Sue
Lovely area, lovely beach and accommodation was really clean/comfortable and homely. Back garden secure for our dog and view was stunning. Yes highly recommend and yes we hope to go back again.
Wendy
We visited the cottage in January and of prime importance for us was to be warm and comfortable and to know that the dogs were welcome and catered for. We were not disappointed in any way. This cottage is in a super location for exploring the local area. It has several large dog friendly beaches nearby. The accommodation was amazing, very tastefully and comfortably furnished. It was spotlessly clean had a large comfy bed, plenty of hot water and everything you could need was provided. The garden was small but well fenced. The hosts were very friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed. Fabulous place to stay
Andrew
