Is Waie House 1 Right For You?

Discover why this cottage is ideal for different types of visitors

For Families
Children get free access to a heated indoor swimming pool throughout their stay. The outdoor adventure playground features zip slides and climbing equipment. An indoor soft play area includes ball ponds, climbing areas and slides with its own coffee shop. The sports hall allows badminton, tennis, netball and football games. Shared lawns provide space for outdoor games and activities.
For Couples
This property is designed for families rather than couples seeking a romantic break. The three-bedroom layout and extensive children's facilities make it less suitable for a quiet getaway. The on-site pub location means potential noise from families using the facilities. Couples wanting peace would find better options elsewhere as this property focuses on active family holidays with sports and play areas.
Pet Friendly
Waie House 1 does not allow dogs or any other pets. The property maintains a strict no-pets policy across all accommodation. This makes it unsuitable for guests wanting to bring their animals on holiday. If you need pet-friendly accommodation in Devon, you'll need to look at alternative properties that specifically welcome dogs and other pets during your stay.

Waie House 1 Reviews

Sarah
A wonderful place to stay, especially for families. We stayed in a chalet (which is more like a house!). Well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Lovely balcony with stunning views (although the outside furniture really needs some attention). Location is pretty central to drive in any direction to various attractions and beaches. Facilities are fantastic...free access to the soft play and swimming pool if you are staying at the Inn, play area, amazing food in the restaurant.
Michael
Great place for families with comfortable accommodation and great facilities. Not quite what we were expecting as the discription led us to believe we were sharing with four other oroperties when in fact there are loads of b & bs and the site is open to the public. Restaurant is very good and staff are lovely, Perfect for families with younger children or those who love their sports.
Christine
Thank you for our lovely weekend away on the hottest days of the year the swimming pool saved the day we had fun, would recommend the activities on offer for families, clean and comfortable
Rebecca
We have stayed here many times and will continue to do so. The owners are great and all the staff are helpful and friendly. There is everything you need if you have a family, lots to do and entertain them. We tend to book when children are at school for a quieter time, but have previously booked two cottages and taken our children and grandchildren. The food is lovely and value for money too.
Andrea
The house was perfect having the living space upstairs showcased the beautiful views, itââ?¬â?¢s so quiet and relaxing. The house had everything we needed and more. We booked the swimming pool twice and had the whole pool to ourselves. Pub had lots to drinks on offer and the food was amazing!! Advice to book as it gets busy and you can taste why. Lots of facilities on site. Great place to stay although tricky getting in and out of due to the single track lane, but itââ?¬â?¢s all worth it.
Danielle
The cottage was absolutely beautiful, equipped amazingly well, and the location was incredible. Beautiful views, and access to the soft play, pub, skittles, and pool was absolutely amazing; our family had the best time! It was a bit of a drive to get anywhere, but we were fully expecting that, and it was worth it to be in the middle of such beautiful countryside.
Katy
A lovely upside down cottage within excellent amenities. The indoor pool and childrenââ?¬â?¢s activity area is such a lovely addition to the pub/restaurant. This is our 8th time here.
Yvonne
Great place for kids, however, a few issues. Pool not always available WIFI not brilliant

Would and do recommend this place with absolute confidence, always spotless, friendly, great choice of activities for all ages.
David
We had a fab time enjoyed the fishing swimming and skittles and food was lovely thankyou
Clare
Lovely setting and comfortable property. Charge for extending booking by two nights was extortionate . Be careful to read small print. Pub provided good food.- excellent breakfast and an evening meal were tried.
Esther
Our cottage was absolutely gorgeous. We had a really lovely week away with friends, and there was so much to do with the kids - the soft play, park, swimming pool and sports hall kept them busy and wore them out thoroughly all week! The inn is nice too and does good food. My only (slight) negative was that the location itself was quite remote, there's not much to do with a family within 30-45 mins. However there's so much to do on site this wasn't really a problem.
Clare
We had the best time ever. The cottage was so beautifully equipped, very warm and cosy, and very well designed. No wonder this is our fourth stay there! Plus we are booking again for next year. The hosts are wonderfully laid back and friendly. Thereââ?¬â?¢s a great family atmosphere.
Karen
Excellent value.. excellent facilities.. location a bit remote but a lovely extended family break!!!
