The Haven Reviews

Clara
Lovely cottage in a great location. Really enjoyed Beer and the surrounding area
Adrian
A lovely, well equipped, warm, clean and spacious apartment with an awesome location within yards of the beach and several great eateries and place to drink. A real bonus to have a dedicated parking space.
Keith
Nice apartment, parking very tight
Heather
Lovely apartment, well equipped and in a wonderful position in the main street
Deborah
We really enjoyed our stay. The Haven is very comfortable and the location is excellent. The parking place is really convenient but difficult to manoeuvre a large car as it is quite a tight space.
Steven
Excellent outside space and location just needs a bit more tlc as above
Elizabeth
We had a wonderful week at the Haven. The property is comfortable and had everything we needed. Although the parking was very difficult it wouldnâ??t put me off staying again as there is overnight on street parking available also. The location of the property was brilliant. So close to the beach, centre of the village, and beautiful walks on the doorstep. It is also within 20 minutes of Sidmouth and Lyme Regis well worth visiting.
Alan
Everything was great had a wonderful time close to the beach great restaurants friendly people ideal for a getaway
Jill
Lovely accommodation, beautiful location. Well equipped and clean. Beer is delightful and the coastal walks to Branscombe and Seaton are within easy reach. Parking was fine but you can get a 96 hour parking ticket which allows you to park in any East Devon Council car park. We will be back.
Helen
The Haven is very comfortable and in a great central, but quiet location in the centre of Beer. We've been there twice now and wouldn't go anywhere else on the area.
Audrey
The accommodation is excellent. Very comfortable, clean & well equipped. Everything needed for a wonderful stay. Parking is very very tight as stated. We would definitely return but use alternative parking available close by.
Barry
Excellent Flat,excellent location.
Stephanie
Amazing location and plenty of space for 4 people and 1 dog. However the apartment could have done with a good clean, there was a lot of dust at cobwebs and the upstairs carpet needed a good vacuum ( our dog didn't come upstairs) the kitchen was well equipped, everything we needed.
Barry
Excellent flat & great location, stayed over Xmas nice little touch with the Xmas Tree etc.
Alison
Fabulous location and comfortable accommodation which provided us with a lovely weekend break
Robert
Great location, shame about the cleanliness
Sharon
A great little apartment in an arts and craft building. Well equipped for self catering. Well positioned for the beach, the local pubs and shops.
Phil
We enjoyed our September stay at the Haven - Heating very efficient! Well equipped and comfortable, two bathrooms a bonus if 4 people are staying. Location in middle of village is superb - short walk to everything but still quiet. Only negatives are not much outside space , and some will find getting in and out of parking space a bit challenging.
Sheila
The Haven is ideally situated for the beach, pubs and restaurants. It is also good for walking to Seaton and Branscombe - lovely views. Also bus service from Beer Cross good for visits to other local towns. Inside everything you need for a holiday is provided. Only downside is the parking. Unless you have a medium sized car manoeuvring to the allocated car space is challenging and certainly would put people off using the car every day.
Karen
Beautiful location in lovely Beer - but this stay is NOT dog friendly. It does not have a safe enclosed garden and the garden does not adjoin the house so for us with our dog it didnâ??t work at all.
Helen
A lovely, comfortable house in the heart of Beer. The perfect location for a great holiday.
Nicola
The haven is a lovely apartment, been coming to beer for years itâ??s our favourite place. Had everything you could need lovely open plan living/dining room and kitchen , two big bedrooms both on suite . 2 minutes walk to shops , pubs and beach. The only negative we had was the garden area, there was no information stating which part of the garden was ours so we went off the pictures on the website and sat at the top of the garden, a lovely man came up to his shed and I asked him if we was sat in the right place and he very politely said no but it didnâ??t matter we could use his garden, felt a bit daft but he was very friendly, the middle garden is for the Haven , also the parking area is very tricky but cannot be helped.
Simon
Location of property in Beer is great, close to beach, pebbles. Well equipped with everything you need. It is a an apartment above the shop. Very quite at night. We found the parking a challenge as even though it is directly opposite the apartment entrance at the rear. To get to it is very tight, down an entry and up two slopes. I do have a daily big car though.Normal cars would be ok
Andrea
Another wonderful holiday at the Haven in Beer. Definitely will be booking again.
Linda
Parking extremely difficult would only recommend for those with small cars.
Sally
The Haven was fantastic, great location, lovely and warm inside (early March). Beds very comfortable, all linen very good quality. Only reason for the lower marks for equipment is that we found the hob quite ineffective. Parking is tricky as has been stated by other reviewers but completely manageable.
