Sandy Bay Bungalow Reviews

Cath
A very lovely bungalow that has everything you need for a holiday. The bed and sofas were all very comfortable. Nice to have the little summerhouse in the garden and even though it was November we were able to enjoy a cuppa in their a couple of times. The only thing for us was we felt the gate into the garden would have been better placed the other side of the kitchen entrance to the property, so we didn't have to get wet whilst opening the gate. Nice to have parking. Fantastic views all around.
Susan
Bungalow in perfect location with loveley views over Instow Bay. Most comfortable bed we have ever slept in. A good selection of places to eat within walking distance
David
Sandy bay bungalow was absolutely perfect. Very clean and well equipped. The owner Mrs Ford was very helpful and kept in contact to make sure everything was OK. The location is perfect with stunning views over the estuary and to Appledore and Instow is a lovely relaxing and friendly place to stay with everything we need. We had a great holiday and our dog loved it, especially the beach. We will definitely be back. Thank you. Dave and Serena Fearn.
Terry

Barry
Lovely bungalow, spacious, comfortable and dog safe.
Nigel
Property is very well located for exploring North Devon and the most Northern part of Cornwall- easy access to the A39. Superb views over the Torridge estuary and beyond to Lundy. Also well located for access to eating establishments, waterside and Tarka Trail. The bungalow itself was spacious, quiet, clean and well-equipped. Owners very attentive and the wine and cookies were "a nice touch".
Marie
Lovely bungalow in an elevated position with some nice views of the estuary. Comfortable and cosy, very clean, loved the large living room and the modern spacious kitchen. Beach and facilities around a 7 to 10 minutes walk. Recommend the art gallery in Bideford.

Denise
We stayed 6 nights and could very happily have stayed a lot longer as the location and views were amazing! We absolutely loved watching the sunsets over the estuary and Appledore from the huge picture window in the lounge after lovely sandy walks on the beach which is only a very short walk away (perfect for our little Westie with short legs!) The accommodation was beautifully clean and comfortable and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. We very much hope to return soon!
Denise
This is a lovely well equipped bungalow within easy walking distance to the pubs, shops, tarka trail and of course the fantastic dog friendly Instow beach. Coming back is uphill, but then your reward is the great views from 3 rooms facing the estuary. We were lucky enough to enjoy a bit of February sunshine on the balcony too. This was our 2nd visit to this property and we hope we will be back next year.
Jayne

Great position with lovely views, comfortable & relaxing house. Could do with ungraded on TV experience (Netflix or Sky), Internet woeful very intermittent to say the least. Down hill for less than 10 mins & on the beach for a lovely walk with our dog. We met the owner who was very pleasant & accommodating & definitely would consider going back again.

Had a lovely stay and the beach here at instow is superb, sandy and great for dog owners. Peaceful road and plenty of room for cars at the property. The house is large and very comfortable with glorious views of the sea and sheep in a field the other way with all types of birds. The garden IS gated for dog owners and enclosed. Owners are very pleasant and helpful and took care to communicate with your stay. Some lovely places to eat by the beach or a short hop to a quirky Appledore
Denise
Great location, 5 minutes from the beach, pubs, deli and Tarka Trail. The owner kept in contact in case of any problems( there weren't any) Beautiful sea views from the lounge, bedroom and outdoor seating area. Well equipped kitchen and lovely comfy beds. Perfect for our party of a couple and 2 single friends, plus of course a dog friendly property.
