Glenisla Reviews

Mary
Returned once again this September to Genisla Terrace, the perfect holiday base, as it is so close to both the sea and all local amenities. Simply and comfortably furnished, it was as always spotlessly clean. Next year's holiday is already booked!
Trish
This is a really good location for Sidmouth- Cottage has a â??homely feelâ?. Kitchen is well equipped.
Alan
Very good cottage for its price point, we had a slight issue with the shower that was sorted the next day, these things happen, what is import and and a credit to the property was the speed with which it was rectified. I have now stayed at this property 3 times over the last few years and will more than likely do so again in the future
Lisa
Sidmouth is a lovely town and this cottage is in a perfect location, with lots to do within easy walking distance. The cottage itself is very comfortable, with a very well equipped kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back soon.

Yet again another great stay at Glenisla. We had such a good week. A fabulous base to visit other areas. It is such a comfortable and welcoming home. We have rebooked for next September.
Helen
Great place to stay....2 mins from the promenade....2 minutes from the shop to get morning paper.....2 minutes from the pub...4 minutes from the chip shop. What more could you want.
Catherine
Weâ??ve stayed at Glenisla twice now as the location is perfect. Itâ??s quiet but right next to The Ham, dog friendly end of the beach and start of the Esplanade. Time it right and you can even see the red arrows fly past the bedroom window. The stairs and bathroom access are fine but not ideal if mobility impaired but otherwise itâ??s a great choice for a holiday.
Nick
This is a super cottage in an ideal location. The beach is close as are all the shops and restaurants. Our grandchildren particularly enjoyed the park which is right in front of the property with no road in between.
Christine
A spacious, comfortable house in an excellent quiet location, moments away from the seafront, and only a few minutes walk away from the shops. Upstairs there are views of the sea from the front bedrooms, a lovely bathroom, and comfortable beds. Downstairs the kitchen, lounge and dining area are all a good size and there is a well designed paved back yard. We spent a very enjoyable week staying at the house whilst touring the area. My only concern was the parking situation. I would definitely recommend purchasing a weekly parking permit from East Devon council as there is very little on street parking in the area. Although there is a carpark near the house it is a short term carpark, and the long term carpark is a brisk 15 minute walk away.
Helen
We have wonderful breaks here - home from home. Back again in September.
Helen
Great place and great location. Love it !

When we arrived so nice to have welcome goodies. The cottage was really cosy and was home from home. The location is perfect for both the seafront and the Byes park. The town centre is really nice with good independent shops. The highlight of our holiday was a day at the donkey sanctuary. Good idea to read the book about sanctuary in cottage before visit . Will Definately return. Parking was a bit of concern. But we purchased a permit for the week which was also useful in other car parks. A fantastic break thankyou .
Eric
We have just had a week in this lovely comfortable and very well equipped cottage. Also great location, quiet with no traffic but yet two minutes from sea front, shops and bars and restaurants. The added bonus was a week full of warm sunshine every single day. Well recommended.
Fiona
We stayed at Glenisla for a week as a group of six adults and 1 dog. The accommodation was just what we required and was very clean and tidy. We managed very well even with just the one shower. Having sinks in all the bedrooms and 2 separate toilets worked very well. The beds were comfortable. We booked towels and linen and all the beds were made up on our arrival. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The living space was comfortable and the Wi-Fi pleased the younger adults in our group. Communication between the company was excellent. Glenisla is only a few minutes walk from the seafront and shops which can provide you anything you might have forgotten. We were very lucky with the weather and we were able to do lots of walking and swimming in the sea. We would certainly choose the accommodation again.
Mary
This house could not be bettered for being quiet, yet very close to both the sea and the shops and amenities of the High Street. Having vanity units in each bedroom and 2 toilets make it ideal for a mixed party as well as for a family group. This was my 25th booking for this house, and I am already looking forward to next year's visit.
Denise
Glenisla is a lovely spacious home and perfect accommodation for a holiday in Sidmouth. The rooms are generously sized and the back yard ideal for sitting out. Being set back in private gardens is lovely. Stepping out on to the ham is perfect for dog owners. And it's all a short stroll to the seafront, shops, tourist information centre & all amenities. We recommend visiting the sidmouth trawler for fresh fish & seafood. We highly recommend Glenisla & hope to stay again
Paul
