The shared lawn provides space for outdoor games.
For Couples
Button Stable may not suit couples wanting an intimate retreat. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms, making it better for larger groups. The working farm setting and family bathroom layout cater more to families than romantic breaks. Couples wanting privacy might find the shared garden and larger accommodation less appealing. Pet Friendly
Button Stable does not accept pets. Dogs are not allowed due to the working farm environment with sheep and cows on the 60-acre property. The livestock welfare requirements mean pets cannot be accommodated. Guests with dogs should look for alternative accommodation. The farm animals need protection from visiting pets. This policy ensures the safety of both farm animals and maintains the working farm operations.

Button Stable Reviews

James
Lovely location and cottage. Was lovely and warm and very spacious - even though we had 2 storms in the week we were there we were snug and cost and didnâ??t need to light the fire. Beds were very comfy and had everything we needed for our week in Devon. Pauline met us when we arrived and was very friendly but we had no reason to contact her while there as no issues and we had everything we needed. A great base to explore North Devon.
Jenni

Dean
We had a lovely stay at the Button Stable. The cottage was in the most peaceful location with stunning views of the surrounding valleys. Inside the cottage had everything we needed with charming rooms and a well stocked kitchen. The cottage was situated close to lots of local attractions including beaches, valley of the rocks, and Barnstaple. We will definitely be back to relax and unwind.
Joanne
Lovely location. Clean and cosy. Parking is limited and difficult to access/depart safely. I would definitely recommend as a base to explore. If you are a light sleeper, avoid twin room with skylight. Sheep can be noisy throughout the night.
Angela
Lovely cottage spacious and clean
Joanne
If you want a cosy, relaxing home from home then this is the cottage for you. We were a party of 2 adults and 2 children and had a very relaxed week. The cottage was very warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well kitted out with plenty of crookery and pans, so nice to have a good selection. Our grandsons made good use of the log burner in the evenings which just added to the cosy feeling. The beds were very comfortable - no trouble sleeping. waking up to birdsong and the sheep bleating out in the fields was just the icing on the cake.
Jenni
We had a lovely holiday at Button Stable. The owner was friendly and helpful and it had everything we needed. The weather was a bonus with lots of outdoor space for the kids to play.
Joanna
A beautiful location. A house with everything you need. We had a lovely week.
Stephen
As with all our visits to Button Stable / Barn over the years, we use the site to visit family who live in Bratton Fleming. The location is ideal for us to walk to their home. This August visit was more of a holiday and having lived in Devon many years ago, the location is ideal to visit beaches on the North Devon coast as well as 'round the corner' to Woolacombe / Croyde. There are lots of attractions to cater for all ages within a relatively short car journey.
Sarah
Lovely cottage, cosy and clean & well equipped. Great location for visiting Coombe Martin, Ilfracoombe and Appledore.
David
Very comfortable cottage that i have been returning to for many years. The owner is very friendly, and the views are spectacular.
Rachel
Owner was lovely. Great property.
Joanne
Button Stable was an amazing place to chill out, relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of town life.... the place was lovely and cozy with the woodburner alight. The property had recently been redecorated and had new kitchen bits and pieces.... the double bed was the comfiest I have slept in, in a very long time... would definitely go again if we were in the area.
