Birds Cottage Reviews

Sarah
We had a wonderful time staying at Birds Cottage. It was a fabulous location and the cottage was beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed Appledore.
Matt
Location was good however the cottage could benefit from some tlc.
Nikki
Great location a 2 minute walk from the quay and really lovely village with a heart and lots of activity. Different music every night, a film club, pilot gig clubs - just lovely. Great deli also 2 minutes away and wet fish shop close by. Cottage was in a very quiet street, no cars, it was spacious, airy, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great coastal walks close by. Did have to travel a way for others. We had a great week, thank you
Susan
Lovely dog friendly cottage. Close to the Marina and shops. Extremely clean and has everything you need. We will definitely be back.
Alison
Great location. Quite cosey rooms. We enjoyed our stay in cottage in Appledore. Thank you!
Siobhan
Lovely clean cottage, in a great location. We appreciated the small touches like a tea set and biscuits laid out for us on arrival, and some wood ready-split to be burned in the wood burning stove etc. The shower has good water pressure and the beds are comfortable- the heating works well and the place gets cozy quickly on a chilly day if needed. The freezer compartment in the fridge didnâ??t really seem to work (everything melted or went soggy) so just bear that in mind if youâ??re stocking up on ice cream or ice before you check in! Overall a really lovely stay, and Appledore is a beautiful place to relax and take in the sea views.
Julia
The cottage was lovely, set in a quiet tiny street and very easy to drop down to quay etc. Johns the deli, cafe and food store a great resource around the corner. The fresh fish shop nearby also brilliant! Great base to explore some beautiful North Devon places which was lovely. This time it included Hartland Abbey, with itâ??s lovely walk down to a remote cove, Putsborough Beach (alongside Woolacombe) and the gorgeous gardens of a Marwood Hill with its ponds and natural gardening style.
Catherine
Great location
Barry
Overall the cottage was good in an excellent position just a shame it was let down a bit by the kitchen equipment.
