The Lookout Westward Ho Reviews

Naomi
This was the first time staying in this property in Devon. Had such a fantastic time, this property was very well equipped with everything you would need. Very comfortable beds and everything was so clean. Lovely chocolate cake was left for us and lots of information of places to visit while we were staying in Westward Ho!
Kathleen
The fact that this was our 4th consecutive years visit to "The Lookout". Says it all
Belinda
The house was extremely well equipped and comfortable, being light and bright with an open view looking towards the sea in the distance. Well situated for visiting the surrounding area and local towns and places of interest.
Denis
Lovely holiday home, very well equipped with all the usual amenities. Fantastic view from the living room, secure garden, which was great for the dog. I would highly recommend.
Barbara
The cottage is very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished with everything you could need. The view from the balcony and the sunsets are stunning and we enjoyed sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine! So many places to visit nearbyand walks for the dog. We would definitely stay again.
Maureen
The Lookout was immaculately presented. It was in a quiet area of Westward Ho! and had views across the golf course to the sea from the lounge and balcony. It was in walking distance of shops, restaurants and beach. We also enjoyed visiting Northam Burrows Country Park.
Anthony
Great property just a short walk to to the beach or the centre of Westward Ho!, very well presented, quiet estate. We had a great time here and were sorry to leave. Would definitely stay again.
Wendy
Fantastic 2 weeks. Sun sea and stunning sunsets. What a great property. Cannot stress how perfect our stay was. A great welcome with flowers and delicious cakes we will certainly be returning.
Andrea
The property was fabulous even better than the website. Excellently equipped to meet all our needs even down to the dog area and towel. We had an amazing time with mixed weather but it didnâ??t stop us exploring. We visited Lynton and Lynmouth, Barnstaple, westward ho, Clovelly. Had an amazing costal walk, Ilfracombe and Woolacombe and enjoyed every minute. A beautiful part of the country
Jonathan
This was our 5th visit to Greenway Drive & we always wanted to stay at the Lookout because of its location on the estate & the view from its balcony & it didnâ??t disappoint! You can see directly over the golf course and the Burrows to the sea. We will definitely return to this property as we love Westward Ho & surrounds. The house was top notch! Sally and Jonathan.
Fiona
Great position with lovely views. Quieter than the houses nearer the road. Weâ??ve stayed in 5 or 6 different Greenways houses so know them well. Lovely touch to leave pastries and flapjacks for our arrival (AND daffs in a vase!) Fabulous weather, clear blue skies and not a cloud all week, very lucky!!
Dena
I have stayed a few times now and it never disappoints! Very clean, cosy and comfortable, with a great view over the Burrowsâ?¦simply stunning sunsets. Great location for walking and a short stroll into Westward Ho! So peaceful and relaxing, have already booked other stays for this year.
Martin
The Lookout is located in a great position to view the burrows and the sea. The view of the sunsets is fantastic. It is an easy 10 minutes flat walk into Westward Ho! The house is well equipped, warm and cosy, we have stayed several times and will be back again. We love The Lookout.
Jennifer
We loved our stay at the cottage and the dog very much enjoyed the little lawn area. The weather wasn't great for most of our stay but we had a cosy time inside. Took some walks down to the beach and explored the surrounding areas.
Jayne
This is a fantastic property, had everything you could wish for, even cake baking! It was warm when you needed as we visited end October, but also can sit out on the veranda and enjoy the Sun. Beds and sofas were really comfy, really clean and tidy with views of the sea, canâ??t recommend enough.
Christopher
Thought of everything Definitely will look to book there again
Kathleen
This was our 3rd visit to this cottage and we are sure we will return. Great location, comfortable and welcoming. We love it.
Kevin
We've stayed at The Lookout six times and always look forward to visiting Westward Ho! and having the benefit of staying here as a base. The house is always spotless and very comfortable with plenty of equipment. The well equipped house and I really do mean well equipped is second to none. The sunsets from the French doors looking out to Lundy Island are amazing in the summer. There is just so much to do here in Westward Ho!. Walking, surfing, swimming, restaurants, little coffee places, shopping in nearby Bideford, amazing scenery, pubs, Rib boats, cycle paths and much much more, you won't get bored for choice here.
Paula
We had a wonderful stay at The Lookout. This is the best accommodation weâ??ve ever stayed in and weâ??ve stayed in a lot over the years. So well equipped and great attention to detail. The view and location were perfect and the weather made it even better. Hosts were great in returning an item to us we accidentally left there. We walked to and from Westward Ho! and Appledore most days as itâ??s a lovely walk by beach or coast path. We really canâ??t recommend this property enough
Roger

We had a wonderful week at The Hideaway and it felt like a home from home. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed at. It was clean warm and comfortable. We loved the view and walks on The Burrows with our dog. We had some lovely meals at The Seagate, The Boathouse, Flame Factory and the Royal George, all dog friendly. Would recommend!
