South Cuma Reviews

Tracy
The property is incredible...it is huge. You do need to go completely equipped with provisions as not the easiest to get out to ny shops . We were within an age range of 90 to 3 and it worked perfectly
Robert
The barn was just as we expected and nice and warm. One of the local circular walks goes past the end of the garden and Drewsteignton village was an acceptable walk - and where we enjoyed an evening meal in the community-owned pub and a visit to the church. Would definitely revisit.
Jacqui
The property is amazing inside and huge and superb for a family or friends holiday together. We loved the snooker table which is a great feature to have and one of the reasons we booked. Would be good if an additional tv were in the lounge near the kitchen so you had a choice where to sit. We found at Christmas we wanted to watch different channels which wasnâ??t possible. The bedrooms are a great size as are the bathrooms and very modern with comfortable beds. The owner Nikki was readily available for any issues that arose and made sure they were sorted quickly which was a real plus. We would love to return to South Cuma in the future and wouldnâ??t hesitate recommending it.
David
An absolute gem of a property. Where do I start? Amazing kitchen equipped to the highest specification. Incredible vaulted ceiling in the main living space. All bedrooms and bathrooms finished to an exceptionally high standard. And last but not least a full size snooker table! All in a stunning secluded rural location. I cannot rate this property highly enough - absolutely fantastic.
Lyndsey
Beautiful situated house. Clean and tidy rooms, very well equipped home. The track to the house is very rural so low vehicles do struggle to get there.
Amanda
We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed being away from everyone and the silence. It was the attraction for us The house was fabulous. We each found a space , me reading in the recliners, boys playing snooker and we were able to come together to play games, cards and even dance. I think that combination was a winner! Seeing the birds of prey, pheasants and deer was an added bonus . Great week and would definitely recommend. Thank you
Clare
Beautiful, spacious barn conversion. Kept my teenagers and parents happy. Driveway is tricky for a loaded car - our Galaxy scraped it's way down and some of us had to get out and walk to save our exhaust! Worth it though, as the place is gorgeous.
Sammie
South Cuma really should come with an advisory about access to the property. The drive way down is long and extremely uneven, this caused damage to our cars and also taxis that we had to and from the property. We were actually refused a full journey and had to get out and walk to the property from the drive way as the access was so poor. The property was well equipped for 10 people but oddly lacked essentials such as tin foil, baking parchment, oil etc. It would have also been useful if the property information included how to use the oven, coffee machine and boiling water tap installed.
Margaret
This property is stunning, and it is in a beautiful location: deer and stoat outside, a stream running beside it, far enough from civilisation, but close enough to visit castle Drogo and do 13-mile hikes across Dartmoor. The house inside is charming, well-fitted kitchen, dining room with a view, a billiard room and a snug. Quite perfect!
