5 Coastguard Cottages Reviews

Joy
Fantastic location with sea views and close to the town centre. Well equipped and very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, would definitely come again.
Noel
Beautiful situated cottage, if you want peace and quiet you'll find it here. Steep walk to and from harbour but we'll worth it. The cliff walk is longer and steeper but the views are amazing. Comfortable beds, clean towels and no issues at all. Would highly recommend, enjoyed by 3 generations thank you
Susan
Beautiful property, brilliant views, you definitely needed your walking shoes on unless you used a car to get into the town. Would like to stay again in the future.
Jayne
Lovely comfortable cottage in nice, quiet location out of town with parking space infront of property - altbough it was very tight! Great for dogs with Daddyhole Plain immediately infront of cottage and lots of lovely walks nearby.
Diane
A really lovely home with beautiful views. Good location for walks and accessing local beaches and other places to visit. Comfortable beds and living area
Annemarie
Nice cottage in a good location with lovely views and many things to see in the area. Lovely walking in the area too. Bed and sofa comfortable. It is a shame there are no blinds or curtains downstairs, this makes you feel like living in a shop window in the evenings. This is something that can easily be remedied...
Janet
A great location, perfect area on the plain to give the dogs a run. Lovely cottage and great to see photos of the renovations.
Robert
Absolutely delightful period cottage that has been restored and modernised sympathetically and stylistically Great location and local amenities
Gordon
Excellent home from home, we enjoyed our stay immensely, equipped with everything you need including full size fridge freezer. Managing agents extremely helpful. We intend booking again. Gordon & Pat Cain, Feb 2025
Martha
We had a lovely and restful stay. The cottage is in a lovely position and watching the weather was amazing and beautiful at times. The beds could benefit from some mattress toppers, but otherwise very comfortable. A great place for exploring the area from.
Julie
Had a great time, the house is in a great position, clean and comfortable. Parking was a struggle outside the property, but there is plenty of parking near by. The Meadfoot beach cafe was great. The costal walks were fabulous. Take shampoo, shower gel etc.
Derek
nice front patio with a beautiful view
Katrina
Fabulous week in a beautiful peaceful cottage! A real home from home, was super comfortable for us as a family and we will definitely return. Having the field and sea view out the front door is a real bonus, especially with young children and dogs!
Kate
Just perfect in every way possible!
Maria
We had a lovely stay in this beautifully presented cottage which was comfortable and well equipped with a stunning view. A fabulous base to explore the area with a lovely plain on the doorstep which was perfect for our dog and with a breathtaking coastal decent down to the harbour. Friendly neighbours and met some lovely locals .We couldnâ??t fault it and would definitely love to stay here againâ?¦rather sad to leave really â?¹ï¸
Heather
Beautifully renovated cottage. It is well maintained and had everything we needed for a really relaxing holiday. The location is excellent, views of the bay from the patio. Lovely beach and cafe close by in one direction and town centre just a 15 minute walk in the other. Dogs enjoyed meeting new friends every day on Daddyhole Plain!
Carole
The cottage was very clean well equipped and a nice welcome pack for us. Itâ??s so quiet and peaceful at night. Nice not to get woken up by anything. Very comfortable beds and nice bathroom. It is at the top of a large hill. So you need to be able to walk well.
Ali
This is a lovely completely renovated cottage in a quiet location in Torquay close to nice walks and a fab beach (& cafe) at Meadfoot. It has a very comfortable lounge and lovely terrace. The parking is a little bit tight out the front - that said thereâ??s lots of parking just round the corner. Worth noting that there is no upstairs loo just in case that is important to guests.
Deborah
Amazing loved it all. Location so relaxing will definatley be back. Neighbours lovely everyone so nice and welcoming.
Karen
Very well equipped. Great view. Would definitely come again
Julian
Excellent location in the heart of Daddyhole plain and a 15 min walk into town. Brilliant renovation of the old coastguard cottages. Private parking available for one car in a narrow road but plenty of parking in nearby roads for a second car if required.
