Beautiful cottage nestled away on Cranscombe Farm. Well separated from the main house and felt very private. Excellent location for some of the best walking on Exmoor, and the pub in Brendan is walkable albeit down a steep woodland path. Cottage is very well equipped and had everything we needed. Log burner was lovely and enough logs were provided for 2 nights - would recommend buying more en route if you plan to use the log burner more than that. King size bed was extremely comfortable with blackout blinds affording restful sleeps. We also enjoyed the many birds that came to the feeders just outside the kitchen window! Overall a lovely base for exploring Exmoor and also hunkering down.

Itâ??s a really lovely holiday cottage with space outside to sit in. Itâ??s just a beautiful area in Devon! So much green, such a stunning scenery and so quiet! Every day a lot of birds were attracted to the peanuts and seeds just outside the kitchen window. Even a few woodpeckers!

2-Bedroom Barn in Brendon is a beautifully converted, well equipped and comfortable property. We loved its secluded valley situation, the profusion of birds coming to the feeder and the spring lambs, including spotted woodpecker, goldfinches and siskins. We had a glorious week weather-wise and enjoyed trips to Arlington Court and Dunster Castle (both NT), Lyndon & Lynmouth and Ilfracombe. The walk from Hunterâ??s Inn to Heddonâ??s Mouth and one around the deer park at Dunster are both under three miles and easy going. The property owners were very welcoming and helpful. Thoroughly recommended!
