This traditional thatched cottage sleeps six guests in Axminster, Devon. Located just one mile from town, this property sits at the borders of Devon, Dorset and Somerset. The cottage forms part of a small complex with 2-Bedroom Barn in Axminster.

The Axe Valley offers excellent walking opportunities right from the door. You can explore the Dorset and East Devon Heritage coastline. Rolling hills and moorlands stretch across Devon. Lyme Regis, Charmouth, Bridport, Sidmouth, Beer and Branscombe are all within easy reach.

The cottage has three bedrooms: one king-size with TV, one twin with TV and one double with TV. Two bathrooms include an upstairs bathroom with roll-top bath, separate shower cubicle and WC, plus a ground-floor shower room. The spacious kitchen-diner features a large electric range-style oven, dishwasher, coffee machine and microwave. The lounge has a Smart TV, hi-fi, iPod dock and wood burner effect electric fire.

We had a brilliant week staying at 2-Bedroom Barn in Axminster! The property is well-situated to access a wide variety of tourist attractions in both Devon and Dorset. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was welcoming and cosy. The scones were a lovely touch. The kitchen is very well-equipped, there were toys and games available for our daughter to play with indoors, there was access to a BBQ and the outside play area was a great addition. The beds were so comfy too and we all slept well!

An idyllic and cosy stay in the countryside away from the hustle and bustle of the city but still close enough to civilisation to have phone coverage, shops and access to amenities when needed. Really close to places like Lyme Regis and Charmouth for fossil hunting, but not so close that the bad seasonal weather will affect you!

Absolutely lovely little cottage, great space in the Kitchen and suited our Family of 4 very easily. The bedrooms and bathrooms where clean and tidy and exceeded expectations. The cottage was very warm and cosy and had loads of homely touches including Board Games and children's games, Kids DVDs with a smart TV. There was Tea & Coffee provided and fresh milk in the fridge on arrival along with Good Cookies and 2 bags of chocolates for the kids, this went down very well. Overall 5*s all round.
